01 Dec, Friday - International Student Exchange Banquet

Today was my last day of classes. I only had my Japanese in-class exam which was very tricky. Time passes so fast. I can't believe that school has really ended, my life as an exchange student has also ended. NOoooooo... I really enjoyed this trip here. Maybe because being an exchange student is not as stressful as compared to being a normal student back in my university.

Today is also the day where we have our year end banquet for all the exchange students. jt, jo and cheryl came over to our place in the afternoon and we spent the next few hours dressing up for the banquet. hehe girls... what to do... anyway gotta really thank

Cheryl help us do our make-up so nicely and pretty! This is not surprising as she has a diploma in make-up. I will need her to teach me how to put on make-up for work.

I took many pictures with the people I met during the exchange.

Look at all the delicious food! I ordered red wine too. Didn't know I had to pay for it, but luckily the price was reasonable. Oh.. The ticket price to the banquet was $25, and we found the price worth it as the food was great. I loved the salmon and the roast beef! The desert was also fantastic! The chocolate cake was so gooood.
After the year end banquet, we headed down to Sauce, a pub in downtown. arranged for us to go to Sauce, a pub downtown. the pub had a really nice setting and we just sat and bum around. We didn't really talk much as most of us were tired from the photo-taking and being too excited during the party.
We left the pub around 11pm and headed to the Social Club for the UVic Commerce Party. We bought our tickets from david, our exchange coordinator, earlier at the banquet. The party turned out to be pretty disappointing though as the dance floor was quite small and it was super packed. Too many people were pushing around, I got stepped on the foot by heels, smelly smoke they kept emitting, the lousy music. Becky was super disgusted at some people who were doing very very very dirty dance moves. (they were practically making out)

We left the club shortly before 2am and headed home. Jingting stayed the night in becky's room as we didn't want her to drive back by herself in the dark.
