8 Dec, Friday - Exams finally over! Watched Ice hockey match!

Finally, the exam had ended for me. I only had 1 written exam for this exchange. And it was the leadership strategies paper. Though I spent the past 2 days at home to study, nothing much went into my minute brain. I was already on the mood to have fun. Took the paper in the Hickman Builiding. Cheryl, jo and I, who took this course, took some pictures around campus. Then we became lazy and decided to head to the University centre to get food. I love thd fries and waffle fries there! Sinful but delicious!
After that, I went back home to rest. Later, I met up with Motoko, Jingting, Garry, Becky and Tian for dinner at The Noodle Box. Becky ate the Cambodian Jungle Curry while Motoko had the singapore cashew curry. Poor girl, she found it too spicy. Jingting and Garry had thai green curry which was really spicy but shiok. I didn't eat anything as I had a heavy lunch at the university centre, waffle fries and a grilled cheese ham sandwich - given by cheryl.

After dinner, we met up with chiaki, ian, cheryl and jolene at Save on Foods Memorial Centre to catch an ice hockey match. As there was 10 of us, we managed to get the group rate so the match only cost us CAD$12. The match was between Victoria Salmon Kings and Long Island Ice Dogs(US), and of course, we were supporting for Victoria Salmon Kings. Haha.. The game was really exciting as it was so fast paced with the puck flying all around. Though none of us really know much about ice hockey game rules and for half the time we didn't really know what was happening in the match. And basically, the players were just trying to smash each other against the wall. Violent!

And the players fought because of some foul. It seemed that every hockey match involves some fighting. We learnt about this as we watched a hockey match on tv in Monkey Tree Pub.It was really funny watching the players fight, with the refrees just standing at the side, doing nothing to break up the fight. What was more funny was after the fight broke up, the stadium started playing the music for 'kung-fu fighting'. Then I learnt from bee that the players are allowed to fight, the fight is stopped when 1 player falls to the ground or when 2 minutes are up. Oh, the fighting also look so fake. They just grab each other shoulder with 1 hand, and use the other hand to punch each other in the face. Very hilarious.

And during 1 of the breaks, there was a small match for little children. It was so cute to see the children played the match. But they were so much slower and they kept falling down. A good entertainment for the breaks. Anyway the game ended with Victoria Salmon Kings winning 3-2.
