Had a good breakfast again. I mean bacon, sausages are all my favourites! Meats! Cleared up everything as usual. I am staying in Emily Carr Hall and the security is good here. We are given 2 keys. One to enter the building and another to open our room door. Guess I will miss this place. It is so much better than ntu hall 8 one.

Tried to take some pine cone photos but they did not turn out to be so well. Never mind. I have so much time to take photos of pine cones. They are everywhere in school. We went to the school bus terminal to travel down to University Heights Shopping Centre to open our account and to settle our phone numbers. Everything is expensive in Canada. Really appreciate what our government has done for us. Transport price is super super expensive. Regardless where you go, for example is just 1 stop - you have to pay $2 a trip. However, I think they sell monthly passes for their senior citizens. Think that is the good point. You can take unlimited trips. SO maybe it is cheaper for the residents but not for people like us. And students have free transport or maybe only UVic students. Haha.. I am not sure. As long transport is going to be free in the next month for me, I am not complaining. More reasons to go downtown! The bus is also more spacious than the S'pore one.

So we came to University Heights Shopping Centre. That place is just what NTU wants to be. A small little town for students. Hmm.. But it is not that crowded at all. Firstly, population is small over there. When there is a holiday, it would mean that place will not be generating business. And it is quite boring. But if you want to do your groceries over there, it is just fine. Took pictures of flowers. They are super beautiful. And you must press the button to cross the road if not, you will feel like a idiot standing there for so long. Oh there is no green man, it is the white man. And no red man, only a red hand. Haha.. So many different things in this place.

Went to see Home Deport. It is a place where you buy the equipment to build homes. People don't use bricks to build their house. They use lots of wood and poles to build them. The place was super big, like a large giant IKEA basement where you choose the materials to build your home. Then we went to the supermart next to it. It is really big!!! And there are so many products. Ready-made ribs. Lots of instant food and they looked fresh. See the picture with some yellow, red and brown things. The red thing is sweet and sour pork. Is like hmmmmmmm? Are those edible. How come it is so red?

Look at it. They have tofu in lime/caramel flavour!! I guess they eat tofu as a dessert. Maybe what they mean is soya bean curd.

More photof of the mart. Can refil drinking water. Nice packaging of products. Even the portions are big. Now we know what people can get obese so easily.

Got out of the mart and walked around. This cinema is in the basement. Not too sure about the rest. There are quite a few nice cars around. Oh yah. Look at the price tag, it says lao ji, old chicken. Super funny. The flower was beautiful, the petals opened so nice! After that we went to settle our bank stuff. Actually our in-charge told us to make an appointment with them but we didn't. I mean we thought the bank should be able to help us on the spot. Woah! In the end, we had to wait for sometime so we walked around Home Deport and the shopping mall first. Seriously, they had good customer service. I mean, even when you opened a bank account, you have to make an appointment. The people there will super friendly and wonderful This is what I call great customer service. Anyway, their banks are super eat money. I only can make 25 transactions. After that, everytime I withdraw money or sign card, I will have to pay $0.50 for each transaction. This is really so crazy. And they do have cash deposit machine. Even better, they have cheque-cash deposit machine, however, you can only get $100 from cheque as they need to verify the amount.

Anyway, an incident happened, and we are now more careful with our things and reminding each other. A blessing in disguise. Oooh.. We walked down a few blocks to settled our phone stuff. Man.. Prepaid cards are so expensive. $30 for a sim card and the calling cost is also super not cheap. $0.25 for the first 5 min, $0.15 thereafter. Anyway, the chinese guy who was serving us was super good looking, pretty boy look. And he had long eye lashes. Lol. Just find guys with long lashes a bit girly. I mean, why I don't have long eye lashes and I am a girl! Anyway, he was really good looking and had such a deep and nice voice. Nice voices are music to my ears. The friend beside him was macho. Haha.. Eye candies. Lol.. When school starts, hopefully there are going to be more nice surprises. wahahah.

Went back to the room early today as my friend had no mood to go out too. So I bought oriental stir fry microwave food back to eat. Is supposed to be teriyaki sauce but it tasted ------- ultra not nice. Only the beef and veg was good. The sauce was sucky. I must remind myself not to buy chinese takeaway food.
