6 Oct - Friday Night- Seattle
Had Japanese lesson in the morning, so nothing much really happen. However, I had to pack for my Seattle Trip. Last minute packing. Haha.. Actually, there wasn't really much to pack. We needed lighter bags as we were going there to do shopping. There are factory outlets in Seattle and girls like us will just go crazy over there.
Anyway, there was nothing to do on friday night. We chose this weekend to travel as there was a holiday on Monday, Thanksgiving. Too bad we had to miss the dinner with our landlady. I bet she will cook lots of delicious food. The schedule to go to Seattle was sucky. There were only 2 times that the boat will leave the inner habour. Either in the morning or in the evening. So we had to leave on friday night as some of us had lessons in the morning.
we met at downtown at 5pm on fri, then walk over to the Victoria Clipper terminal to catch the 6pm ferry together. But we decided to grab food from A&W to eat on e ferry, heard that the food will be expensive(Totally agreed and the menu was not that fantastic). We ended up reaching the ferry terminal like at 5.45pm and it was a mad rush through check-in n customs. We probably didn't expect that we had to fill in some forms. We were ones of the last few to board the ferry and we ended up sitting separated in pairs. I wrote postcards but they are still not sent out!!
Anyway, The Victoria Clipper left the habour at 6pm and arrived there at 8.30pm. So Friday night was actually being wasted. But we went out to the deck to take photos and the wind was super strong and cold. However, the sun set was beautiful.

(I am wearing the red UVIC sweater I bought earlier in September. Bought a brown pullover on 4 Oct as they had 20% discount. They were expensive ($56 and $32 cdn dollars) but at least they kept me warm.)
I sat with Cheryl and we spend the remaining waiting time talking to Americans and Candadian. Then we came down from the boat and found our way to the place.

The hotel we stayed at was Seattle Pacific Hotel. 6 of us shared a 2 queen bed room meant for 4 pple. It costs us $10 USD per person each night. Lol.. We had to split into 2 groups to sneak into the room though.
The rest of them spent the night planning the itinery for the next day and they played cards. I decided to turn in early as I was really tired. But the noise they made playing made me drift in and out of my zzz.. Luckily they didn't stay up too late. I guessed that we didn't sleep really well as there was not enough legroom. We were quite cold as we did not know the window was open till the morning.
Becky, Jolene and Jingting were going to collect the car in the morning, giving me, ellince and cheryl longer time to zz.. All of us were super excited as it is the first trip that we are going in a big group and it was all girls! Just like the time I went to London with my String Ensemble. Still can remember the fun and laughter we had.
