14 Oct, Saturday - Tofino Day 2, Nanaimo & Chemanius

Woke up bright and early to pack up our tent and took pictures of how it was supposed to look like when we set up the structure. Then we walked down to the beach near our camping site. It was beautiful and there were lots of empty mussel shells on the beach.
I like the 8th photo! We tried making a heart shape frame.

After all the photo sessions, we drove down to the town of Tofino to take more photos. The town was pretty quiet as the peak season for tourists was over. We then drove down to the long beach in Pacific Rim National Park and like it's name says... it's one long stretch of beautiful sandy beach facing the Pacific Ocean with wonderful waves. And there were actually pple surfing in the cold weather! We took so many wacky photos and videos, the people there probably thought we were crazy. There were also many dogs with their owners, guess the people love dogs.
The first photo is a picture of the dent of our car. We dented the car yesterday. We all agreed to share the cost as we can't blame the driver. But the luckiest thing happened that night! We returned the car at 7pm and since it was dark, the person who checked the car did not check properly. So we got away with it! hahahah.. No need to pay! But we probably can't go back to the same car rental store.
After that, we left Tofino and made our way down to Nanaimo. We had lunch at Mrs Riches and ordered the Mountain Burger. It's one GIGANTIC burger, almst as big as our head. Lol. the 5 of us shared one burger and it was really delicious. The huge beef patty, the tomatos, the lettuce with so much mayo! I love this kind of food. The fries was also good.After lunch, we drove down to Chemainus for a quick stop. It's a super small town. Probably only like 5 streets or the size of Marina Square? Chemainus is famous for it's murals... there's like more than 30 of them. We ended up taking a lot of pictures. Though I really don't think I will be able to appreciate the murals. Actually, we didn't even see all the pictures as all of us were really tired. We probably just wanted to go back and sleep. After Chemainus we drove straight back to Victoria and arrived around 6pm. Then it was a mad rush to drop things and to rush to the car rental store before 7pm.
