9 Oct, Monday - Thanksgiving Dinner

Took pictures early in the morning. Our clipper will leave at 8. So we left the motel super early, like 6 am. Arrive at the habour at 6.30am. At least, we get to enter the clipper earlier and can sit together. It was really fun. We played bridge and big 2. Can't stand Jo, her luck to play bridge is super super super good. That girl so blur, still can win. Lol.. Time passed faster. And before we knew it, we arrived back in Inner Habour. The Empress Hotel has turn bright red. The last time I took The Empress, the leaves on the wall were green, now it is red! Super beautiful.

After that, it was a mad rush back home. I promised B that I will make the 2nd batch of cookies. Actually, Becky and I were apprehensive that he will keep his promise to make cookies for us. In fact, he did. So I made the 2nd batch. Lol. It was okay but I didn't follow a step, resulting in white chocolate chips not sticking inside the cookies. Anyway, it was my 2nd time baking cookies. The first time was in Secondary school. Minyu, Sabrina and I baked for the teachers for teachers' day. Now I can tell them that the recipe was actually wrong. The proportion of flour to sugar is 3 to 1. The first time we made cookies, the proportion of flour to sugar was 1 to 3. That recipe was wrong!!! No wonder our cookie had no dough structure. Anyway, this time, the cookies were good. I will need to kaput B's recipe. He did alot of cooking in high school. Something like home economics. So fun. Ingredients were provided by the school and the students made cake, meringue pie, and many many more stuff.

Took B and my cookies to Garry's place, have to do a blind test to compare whose cookies are better. Lol.. Our cookies have different features. B's cookies were soft inside and big, mine was crunchy and small like bite size. The verdict: Most of them prefer B's ones. Lol..

The rest of the people will go to Garry's Thanksgiving Dinner later. I went there earlier as I was supposed to go help out. Although I didn't help that much. Only mash potatoes and grated cheese. I was quite tired, so I nua-ed in Jo's room.

THe dinner was superb! Turkey, carrots, chips with spinach dip, mini quiche, mashed potatoes. Brownie with ice cream!!! And I got my RED WINE! Thanks to garry. Lol.. I love red wine! Delicious with the meal.

The rest of the night was spent exchanging photos.
