05 Sep - Tuesday - Orientation

There was another orientation for all students. Finally the school doesn't seem so dead. So much life there! Finally I felt much alive too. There were so many people and the walking pace has dramatically increased. When I came to Victoria, I learnt how to stroll, walk slowly. Going to back to school is so different. In fact, the exterior and interior of the building seems quite unique and nice.

We had to go to this orientation as we were supposed to introduce ourselves to the Canadian students. In the first 2 years of university, Canadians just study anything they like, basically electives. In the 3rd and 4th year, they will be majoring in something, like the Commerce Programme. So we were grouped into our respective countries, went into a lecture theatre to see the 3rd years and just shout our country name.

After that, we decided to walk around school. It was so happening. Pasted tattoos on our hands. It was like a fair, freebies everywhere. They even have a welcome bbq for all students! I like free food! Beef, vegie burgers. However, the queue was so damn long and we decided to just walk around and head to downtown to shop. Actually I have been to downtown a couple of times but it was always in the same area. Window shopped in the Bay, the biggest shopping mall in Downtown (I think).

Actually I had no lessons on Wednesday, but I wanted to take japanese so I am having lessons on tues, wed, fri at 9.30 to 11.30 and 10.30 on monday. However, it is still not confirmed as I am on the waiting list, position 7. Arrgh.. It's like so not possible to get the placing. Never mind, I shall be patient.
