23 Dec, Saturday - Hershey Chocolate and American Falls

We departed Washington early in the morning and made our way to Toronto. This was a super long journey so we had several stops in between. And sitting all the coach really make us sleepy. I guess it is the rocking effect of the moving bus. But we were smart to charge our laptop. I spent the time watching my anime during the ride.

First stop was at Harrisburg, where we visited Hershey's Chocolate World. It was so cool!

We were showed the process of how they make chocolates by taking a tour. It's like a mini amusement park, sitting in the carriage and viewing the whole process. Super interesting!
Then we were given a mini Hershey's milk chocolate. I immediately ate it, it was so good and delicious! The shop was amazing, there were so many kinds of chocolate that Hershey produced. I bought some stuff but didn't want to buy more. No more space in the luggage and every weight counts for me.. :( Chocolate is really heavy.

There was a cafe too and the desserts it sell looks really good. But I didn't spend any more money on food, I am already broke and fat. Has been eating a lot of tibits ever since I came Canada, always visiting Walmart to get tostillos, rice crispys, chocolate. Arrgh..
In the afternoon, we arrived at Corning Glass Centre. It's actually a museum but we chose not to enter as we needed to pay money (optional tour) and it didn't seem that interesting. We walked around the giftshop instead and they sell a lot of glass stuff like glass golf clubs! I really wonder if it works as well as a metal golf club..

We spent the time by walking around the Corning town. The sky was so beautiful! We came to a mini convenience store and to our surprise - We found 99 cents beer! And it was selling in a huge bottle. As I was the only one above age (21 is the legal age to consume alchohol, if I am not wrong), I went to pay for it. And the person didn't check my id. Haha.. Took many pictures and we ended up picnicking over chips. LOL
it was back to the bus to continue the journey after that. in the evening, we arrived at Niagara City to capture the night view of the Niagara Falls. First, we stopped to eat dinner. As we didn't want to go with the group for dinner, we walked around in Target (Something like Carrefour) to see see. I managed to get my orange juice! Love it!
This is the US part of Niagara Falls and what we saw was the American Falls. It was really pretty with different colour lights shining on it. However, it was pretty hard to take a good shot with the falls. The winds were strong and it was pretty misty with the huge splashes made by the fall.
They installed 2 kind of lights' settings. Coloured lights and white lights.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel. Took a long time to get our keys as the tour guide took such a long time. Anyway, I think the price we paid for the tour is seriously worth it. We get to stay in such wonderful hotels. Spent the night by drinking beer and eating chips. Junkie lifestyle!
